Quite simply the greatest game ever.  |
A very intelligent game with immense depth. Completely statistics driven, with no real graphics, you choose to manage any football team from any significant league in the world. Pick the team, choose the tactics, change training, choose your backroom staff, allocate your scouts, buy players, sell players, fine players, negociate contracts, invest money on youth, build an academy, manage the reserve team, expand the stadium, apply for vacant managerial positions, resign, retire and much more. Because of this depth it will take an evening to find your way around the menus but soon you will be navigating the game without thinking. I bought this Easter 2000 and it still takes up a large proportion of my life. In fact it has become a problem...taking up large amounts of time and living with the guilt that creates is not always easy. It also generated a passion for playing computer and video games which didnt previously exist...though no other game has come close.

AMAZING! Simply the best football managing sim ever. This is a must for all football fans everywhere, do not be put off by the seemingly boring format-this game had me hooked for hours. The transfer market is realistic and the games are so gripping you will be trying to win the league, get your team promoted, win the cup, buy a star player, beat Manchester United, even conquer Europe for hours on end. This is a great game, and thoroughly deserves five stars.

This game is unbelieveable. It combines the amazing player control of 97/98 with the edge of your seat media and transfer difficulties of real life. This is a must buy!
